Daughter often makes me proud. Seriously - on a totally regular basis. She's an amazing girl. Today, she moved me to actually blog (lately a much less regular phenomenon).
A gal who works at the Bakery is turning 18 tomorrow. She's away from any parents and many of her friends. She mentioned all this to Daughter a couple of weeks ago. Since then, Daughter has been feverishly working on a handmade fleece blanket for the gal. So sweet. She even hand-stitched a matching flower. And wrote her a poem. SO SWEET and THOUGHTFUL.
Daughter just walked up to the bakery to deliver her beautiful gift. I'm quite certain that one young lady made another young lady VERY happy tonight.
And this old lady couldn't be prouder.
And, not to mention, I read "IT" and it is truly incredible! I mean, over-the-top, amazingly wonderful and thought provoking and so very wise beyond her years! You can add that to your list of things to be proud of!

I see her spread out all of her stuff in the hallway at school. And she has her nose in a book. It is like her own personal camp ground. Love it!
